Currently, Upika studies at french litterature in Universitas Indonesia. She has several experiences in language, such as being an interpreter in some exhibitions, doing some interviews to several DJs from around the globe, and she also do some journalism stuffs.
Upika believes that being less judgemental person could make us more wise and seeing things through several viewpoints would make us more tolerant. Everyone has their own past. She also believes that every single person was created unique, so that we should have embrace the diversity.
Upika was born in Ciparay, Bandung on 1997, then moved to Jakarta on 1998 with her family. She started to learn about foreign languages when she was in secondary school, it is english that impressed her first from she was a little. Then she found that japanese is interesting and started to learn japanese autodidactly when she was in junior high school. In high school, she learned french and she found it really interesting. One day, she found out about Polyglot Indonesia in 2013 and was becoming a member ever since. She also learned icelandic due to one of her favorite indie band, Sigur Rós and was falling in love with scandinavia immedietly. After she graduarte from high school, she learned polish in Atmajaya University that collaborate with The Embassy of Poland in Jakarta. Upika involved in several activies of Polyglot Indonesia such as meetups, PING, and another activies untill now.
Currently, Upika studies french litterature in Universitas Indonesia. She also involved in several volunteering activities such as in Alzheimer Indonesia (ALZI), Lentera Sintas Indonesia as a volunteer. She also joined a film community called Tentakel Arts and an EDM music community called Frontrowflag Indonesia (FRFID). In FRFID, her position is as a contributor. She is a also a member of a trance music community called Indotrance. Upika is an ambassador for a dutch music label named Grotesque for Indonesia.
