Cooperation between AIESEC and Polyglot Indonesia Chapter of Semarang
Polyglot Indonesia Chapter of Semarang -better known as PICoS, recently initiated a partnership with AIESEC-Undip chapter to organize the Bridge Program. In this cooperation which began in July 2014, both Picos and AIESEC are committed to progressively introduce the importance of foreign language learning through fun activities and cultural exchange program. Due to the increasing intensity of global engagement, Indonesian people, especially the young generation, must be ready to take part in that global development. Because language acquisition is an important issue in that global engagement, PICoS and AIESEC aim to raise the awareness and language skills to Indonesian citizens.
Cooperation between PICoS and AIESEC is done through some various activities prioritizing “language and culture” as its theme. Among these activities are the Language Meet-up, Global Village, Language Class, etc. In every event, both AIESEC and PICoS share mutual support for the positive development of language learning and cultural undrsatnding. The Global Village program, for example, there were some exchange of participants from 13 countries who showed their country's culture through performances and "country booths". The program is very strategic in providing cross-cultural understanding for the participants and visitors.
In these activities, PICoS troops also had the opportunity to introduce the community profile and PICoS-related activities to the wider community. Hopefully, the existing cooperation can always be maintained and developed.

Polyglot Indonesia Chapter of Semarang -better known as PICoS, is one of the Polyglot Indonesia Chapters located in Central Java. Despite the fact that it’s just established on 7th June 2013,  PICoS has been showing its massive contribution and dedication to language learning development in Semarang. Such development can be seen from the growing number of its language meet-up participants in one year, the increasing number of the current language meet-up tables (English, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, German, Javanese), and the "outdoor" meet-up which is always fun and refreshing.
