Around the World: Nowruz Pirouz

Dear Jakarta Language Enthusiasts,

Some of us might recognize the word "Persia" from our old school textbook or storybook.
But how many of you actually understand about what the word really mean?
Do you know that the word Persian is used to address people and things from Iran?
That Persian language is spoken not only in Iran, called Farsi, but also in Tajikistan, called Tajiki since Soviet era, and in Afghanistan, which branched into Dari and Pashto?
And that they have their own new year celebration that has been included as part of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage?

In the second Polyglot Indonesia Jakarta Chapter's Around the World meetup series, with the spirit of celebrating Iranian/Persian New Year, Nowruz, we would like to invite you to learn more about Persian/Iranian culture!
Our collaborator for this meetup, Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, will also teach us simple and useful Farsi!

Come and join us!
